Kirsten Lie-Nielsen is an author and educator who has revitalized a 200 year-old Maine homestead and the woman behind Hostile Valley Living Instagram and website. Kirsten will discuss moving to Maine and becoming a modern homesteader, how living sustainably can be accessible to all, permaculture, and her personal journey raising animals, growing her own food, and living off the land.
Tickets are $15 for students, teachers, and essential workers, $35 for others.
For the March meal theme, “From the Pantry, Freezer and Root Cellar”, dig into the stash of food that you put by from last year’s garden or utilize foods that you have on hand in the cupboard, freezer, or root cellar.
The prizes for this event are: a $50 Reny’s gift card, two copies of Kirsten’s Book So You Want to be a Modern Homesteader, a one hour Zoom Consultation with Kirsten and some of her dehydrated sourdough starter with detailed instructions and a Veggies to Table market/garden apron!
